-Childrens Book

-Children's bedtime story about a little girl using her imagination to get ready for bed. Target audience is children (girls) age 7 and under. Approximately 14 pictures (including front and back cover). Needs finished with 6 weeks.

I am looking for an illustrator for my second book. My first book, “Just one more, please!” , about a little boy, was illustrated by my brother, who’s schedule does not permit his working with me on this book. “Just one more, pretty please!” is the follow up about a little girl who uses her imagination to get ready for bed, her real life and imagination intertwined in the picture. 

I am looking for a hand drawn cartoony feel, as this book is for children under age 7.  The little girl would have long hair and her room would be fairly stationary throughout the book, except each corresponding verse would add something to the picture. I have included a verse from the book below. In this picture I would be looking for her room (window, dresser, toychest) and the little girl with braided hair, maybe in a baseball uniform nightgown and part of her floor is a baseball field. 

I need to braid my hair
And score a homerun
The sweet dreams
My adventures have just begun

I would like to see what you would come up with (just a sketch, black and white) to see if we would be a good fit.

I'm set to publish a Children's book this year about Dinosaurs. This will be a 25 page book with full color illustrations. The book has been written and ideas for drawings are set for each page.   This book is based on imagination, humor, and silliness. So I am looking for a unique illustrator to capture the fun and imaginative tone in the book. Im looking for illustrations that would be similar to what would happen if Adventure time, Futurama, Invader Zim, and Spongebob were all fuzed together to create a super cartoon. 

To be considered you will need to submit a drawing of your take on a Dinosaur that is in a real life situation but is obviously doing a bad job of hiding or blending in. Or just a picture of any dinosaur that you think meets the humorous style I am looking for.

I am looking for an illustrator that specializes not only in children's book, also pets; specifically dogs. My manuscript is complete and now I need illustrations for the book. The targeted age range will be from 4yrs to 9yrs old.  The book is a spin off from my young adult + book, Real Dogs Don't Whisper (www.realdogsdontwhisper.com); to get a sense of the four characters in the book, please visit my site. Mr MaGoo is the main character for the children's book.  The book will be approx 10 pages in length.

The goal is turn Mr MaGoo and the gang into adorable dog illustrations (www.realdogsdontwhisper.com), aimed for 3/4 yrs old to 8/9 yrs old.


We would like to see is just one image of Mr MaGoo.  Mr MaGoo will be Mister Spunky in the children's book.  In order to capture Mr MaGoo's personality, I greatly encourage to visit www.realdogsdontwhisper.com (FB  www.facebook.com/realdogsdontwhisper or Google + RealDogsDontWhisper)

Real Dogs Don't Whisper is about second chances and miracles. Read about four rescue dogs that were ready to be given up on because they have special needs; they teach their human about life, love, and hope. My other co-author is Mr. MaGoo, he is a larger than life dog and has a lot to say. He is a spunky, hilarious, nine-year old Lhasa Apso; who will be the main character for Mr Spunky.

Mister Spunky will be the happiest dog in the world (and the coolest!). He loves driving around in his red convertible, with the top down, and his sunglasses on. Mister Spunky is carefree and happy-go-lucky. He enjoys life and loves to have fun.

The other characters in the children's book will be his siblings from RDDW, however, the personality of Mister Spunky is what I will believe to be the capturing component of the book.  The book's under lining message will be around special needs and helping those in this demographic vs bullying and making fun.
